REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

Entry Fees
Marathon                                                     400,00 DKK
Halfmarathon                                              300,00 DKK
Health Run 14 year and older                       50,00 DKK
Health Run  13 year and younger                 20,00 DKK

Registration to the Marathon or Halfmarathon race has to be done by sending in the entry form and by transfer of the entry fee to the bank account mentioned in the entry form.

If you as participant in the Marathon og Halfmarathon race want to get the start package, registration and payment has to be completed no later than 1st of August 2010.

The Start Package contains:
- Race number and safety pins
- bag for changing clothes
- Tórshavn Marathon T-shirt
- Ticket for Pasta Party ( if this is ordered)
- Ticket for Hvonn After Party (if this is ordered)

Registration and delivery of start number for Health Running is taking place at the Bragdið stand at the Shopping Centre SMS in Tórshavn, see also above under PROGRAMME.

REGULATIONS
The Marathon and Halfmarathon races: participants have to be at least 16 years old by the beginning of the year. If a participant is younger than 18 year acceptance from parents or guardian is necessary.

Health Run: Every one can participate, but children less than 7 year has to be followed by an adult.

Every one participating in Marathon or Halfmarathon has to accept this:
With my registration I declare that with my participation in this event is solely my own responsibility, and that no responsibility what so ever can be placed with the organiser or the sponsors. I declare that I’m healthy and physically fit to participate in the race. I confirm that the stated year of birth is correct, and that I can’t give my start number to any other person. If I’m unable to participate in the race or in the event of some force majeure I don’t have the right to a refund of the entry fee.

RACE NUMBER DELIVERY
All participants in Health Run, Marathon and Halfmarathon can pick up the start number at the Bragdið stand at the Shopping Centre SMS in Tórshavn, see also above under PROGRAMME.

T-Shirt
In the start package a Tórshavn Marathon T-shirt is included; the selection is in these sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL.

Pasta Party
At Saturday between 12 am and 4 pm there will be Pasta Party at the Shopping Centre SMS for all participants in Marathon and Halfmarathon, who has ordered and paid for this before 1st of August 2010. The price is 50 DKK.

Hvonn After Party
At Sunday evening at 8 pm there will be After Party at Hvonn Brasserie for all participants in Marathon and Halfmarathon, who has ordered and paid for this before 1st of August 2010. The price is 200 DKK and is covering dinner, coffee and desert, but beverages are not included.

COURSES

All courses are measured in accordance with the AIMS regulations.

All courses start and finish at the Shopping Centre SMS in Tórshavn. The distances Marathon, Half marathon and 5,5 km Health Run will run the same 5,5 km loop in Tórshavn.

Marathon: Start at the Shopping Centre SMS. Run a loop of 5,5 km back to the start/finish. Then run north out of the city to the village Kaldbak and turn. Run back to the finish at the Shopping Centre SMS in Tórshavn.

Half marathon: Start at the Shopping Centre SMS. Run a loop of 5,5 km back to the start/finish. Then run north out of the city and turn about 1 km before the electricity plant at Sund. Turn and run back to the finish at the Shopping Centre in Tórshavn.

5,5 km Health Run: Start at the Shopping Centre SMS. Run a loop of 5,5 km back to the start/finish.

2,2 km Health Run: Start at the Shopping Centre SMS. Run 1,2 km of the same loop, then turn off and run back to the start/finish.

REFRESHMENTS AND FIRST AID
There will be refreshment stations for every 5 kms in the Marathon and Halfmarathon. The stations will offer water and soft drinks. There will also be water and fruit in the finish area. First aid will be available on the course and at the finish area.

PRIZES

All finishers in Marathon and Halfmarathon will get a finishers medal. Medals will also be given to no. 1, 2 and 3 runners (men and women) in the Marathon and Halfmarathon race. Flight tickets from Atlantic Airways will be awarded to the no. 1 finishers in the women’s and men’s Marathon and new records on the Marathon course for both men and women will release an award in cash.
In two rounds there will be a prize draw amongst all the competitors. First drawn will be made between all participants in the Health race and then drawn will be made between all Marthon and Halfmarathon participants. In the case that the drawn start number not is represented at the drawing, and then new drawn will be made; this will carry on until all prizes are handed out.

RESULTS
The race results for Marathon and Halfmarathon runners will be available on this website as soon as possible after the run.
